When I called mum to discuss the release of debut single “Embers”, I hadn’t picked a release date yet. It was a fairly long call, and I was still yet to discuss the news, although mum’s story about her putting fertilized eggs under one of her clucky hens… had solved the riddle of the release date.
What date are these eggs due to hatch mum?… 2nd December, why??
Because that is the date I’ll set for the release of Embers…
Only one egg made it, and hatched. Of course we called the chook “Embers”, and it turned out to be a rooster.
Embers was the product of EDMtips.com 8 week masterclass on music production. It was modelled on a 2007 release of Deadmau5, “I Remeber”, which stands on it’s own as a timeless classic, and still a dancefloor favourite.
I chose I remember, because it was one of the first songs I played the guitar too in EDM, and could improvise easily, jamming out solo’s as the song was playing.
The song Embers, debut single and self release as an independent artist/label Dynamic Cre8ive, was inspired by the epic underground all night parties that happen all over Australia. “The Embers of the fire is often where we gather at the end of the night before day break. The conversations inspire friendships that last a lifetime.”
Dynamic Cre8ive is an emerging community of House music DJ’s and improvisational musicians. Starting in Australia in 2017, we’ve been showing up at small underground bush doofs, nightclubs and festivals.
We are inspired by authentic connection and culture. Collaboration will be our primary focus, both live and in the studio, as we journey deeper into making music that we love, and weaving in the stories of our adventures and what moves us… in our hearts, and on the dancefloor.

“We’ve always gathered, shared stories, practised culture, celebrated rites of passage with music, dance and art. Connection is a fundamental human need.”
Where will you next find the Embers?
